What’s New

We are about to begin our second semester of the eighth year of FTSJS. We are so grateful for our support! Click here to learn how to get involved!

This year we have been able to see nine students graduate and more have begun their final projects. With this new semester we are offering new classes; list. We have an English club and monthly virtual presentations from Social Work professionals across the globe and a student journal that will be published soon!

Our Mission

Education Haiti is a Maine-based non-profit that supports the Faculté de Travail Social et de Justice Sociale (FTSJS), Haiti’s only accredited college of social work. FTSJS offers an internationally recognized, culturally grounded social work education to talented young Haitians who are personally committed to healing and elevating their communities and country.

Our students get jobs; in their work, they address the many issues Haiti is facing.

  • "I enjoyed learning about mental health and was able to find a job that specializes in that."

    Elie Toussaint

  • "FTSJS is a very good thing for Haiti. We learn internationally recognized skills and share our knowledge of the history of our country."

    Judith Pierre Saint

  • "I have learned so much about social work values and practical skills that will help me in my social work career."

    Anne Carine

  • “Social workers can help vulnerable people find resources; they can be the facilitators that ensure people’s needs are being met… FTSJS gives us the skills to be great social workers
